Jai Maa Bala Sundri Agro Products (JMB Agro) is a leading manufacturer and exporter of premium Basmati and Non-Basmati Rice, operating from Taraori, Haryana, India since 1998. This Shipping & Delivery Policy outlines the terms and procedures applicable to all domestic and international orders placed through our website or directly with our sales team.

Scope of Supply

JMB Agro caters to both domestic buyers within India and international importers across 25+ countries. We supply rice in bulk, semi-bulk, and retail packaging as per buyer requirements.

  • Domestic Supply: Across all states in India via road/rail transport.
  • International Export: Sea freight (FCL/LCL) to destinations worldwide including Middle East, Africa, Europe, USA, and Asia-Pacific.
  • Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ): Subject to variety and packaging type; confirmed at time of quotation.

Export Shipping Terms (Incoterms)

All international shipments are governed by standard Incoterms 2020. The applicable term is agreed upon and clearly mentioned in the Sales Contract / Proforma Invoice.

Order Processing & Lead Time

Once an order is confirmed with a Purchase Order (PO) and advance payment as per agreed terms, the following timelines apply:

Packaging Standards

JMB Agro offers flexible packaging options to meet international and domestic buyer requirements:

  • Standard Jute / PP Bags: 25 kg, 50 kg bags.
  • Premium Retail Packing: 1 kg, 2 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg bags with custom branding.
  • Private Label / White Label: Custom packaging with buyer’s brand name and design.
  • Bulk Containers: Flexi bags / container liner for bulk shipments.
  • All packaging complies with FSSAI, APEDA, and importing country food packaging standards.

Port of Shipment

JMB Agro primarily ships from the following major Indian ports:

  • Nhava Sheva (JNPT), Mumbai – for global destinations.
  • Mundra Port, Gujarat – for Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
  • Pipavav Port – for USA and Americas.
  • Chennai Port – for Southeast Asia and Australia.
  • The specific port of loading will be mentioned in the Proforma Invoice and confirmed based on buyer’s preference and freight cost optimization.

Shipping Documents Provided

For each international shipment, JMB Agro provides a complete documentation set including:

  • Commercial Invoice.
  • Packing List.
  • Bill of Lading (BL) / Airway Bill.
  • Certificate of Origin (CoO) – APEDA Certified.
  • Phytosanitary Certificate.
  • Quality & Fumigation Certificate.
  • HALAL / KOSHER Certificate (if applicable).
  • USFDA Prior Notice (for USA shipments).
  • Any other certificate as per importing country’s requirement.

Freight & Shipping Charges

• Freight charges depend on the agreed Incoterm, destination port, container type (20ft / 40ft), and current market freight rates.
• Under FOB terms, the buyer is responsible for arranging and paying ocean freight and marine insurance.
• Under CIF/CFR terms, JMB Agro will arrange freight and include the cost in the invoice.
• Freight rates are subject to change based on global shipping market conditions. Final freight cost is confirmed at the time of booking.
• Any detention, demurrage, or port charges beyond agreed free time at destination are the buyer’s responsibility.

Tracking & Shipment Updates

• Upon shipment, JMB Agro will share the Bill of Lading number, vessel name, and ETD/ETA with the buyer via email or WhatsApp.
• Container tracking can be done through the respective shipping line’s website.
• JMB Agro will provide proactive updates in case of any delays or changes in schedule.

Customs & Import Duties

All applicable customs duties, import taxes, VAT, and local handling charges at the destination country are the sole responsibility of the buyer/importer, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • JMB Agro will provide all necessary export documentation to facilitate smooth customs clearance.
  • It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the product complies with all import regulations of their country.
  • JMB Agro shall not be held liable for any delays or additional costs arising from customs hold or rejection at the destination.

Loss, Damage & Insurance

  • JMB Agro takes utmost care in packaging and loading to prevent damage during transit.
  • Under CIF terms, marine insurance is arranged by JMB Agro. Under FOB/CFR terms, the buyer is advised to arrange their own cargo insurance.
  • Any claims for loss or damage during transit must be raised within 7 days of receipt of goods with supporting photographs and survey report.
  • JMB Agro’s liability is limited to the value of goods as per the invoice and is subject to the insurance terms.

Force Majeure

JMB Agro shall not be liable for any failure or delay in delivery caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, port closures, government restrictions, pandemic-related disruptions, war, or acts of God. In such cases, JMB Agro will notify the buyer promptly and work towards an alternative delivery arrangement.
